A Family of Trees
I went on a long drive through Caledon yesterday, and because of the weather conditions I decided to explore the clouds.

The Grass And Road Revisited
I made an identical image in this location a number of years ago, and since I was in the area I figured I'd revisit the scene as a subject to see if there was anything new that I could bring to it.

Forest Cage
I loved the stark contrast between the vibrant green leaves and dark trunks. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to recreate the scene in .jpg form, but I'm happy with the outcome.

Statue At Night
This is an image of the National War Memorial in Ottawa, Ontario against a night sky backdrop. This thing was huge!

Parliament Hill
I just returned back from a long weekend in Ottawa. Here's our Parliament. Unfortunately, the Prime Minister was in New York for the weekend.

Little Dirt Road
I made my way up north to take advantage of the interesting sky conditions following our slight encounter with what became Tropical Storm Irene.

Grasshopper On A Christmas Light
This guy managed to make his way up to our 6th floor balcony to hang out with us on a Christmas light. Of course, never being one to miss an animal shot, I ran to get my camera.

Butterfly On Ward's Island
A friend of mine hurriedly called me over to a plant she was standing near. I ran over with my camera in time to capture a few images of this guy.

A Toronto Postcard
Hey, just because everyone makes this image when they visit the Toronto islands, doesn't mean I can't join in. I like to explore the world of cliche just as much as the next photographer!

The Tea Cups
A bunch of us went to the "Taste of the Danforth" Greek festival in Toronto yesterday. I was playing around with my iPhone, experimenting with long exposures. Here's one of the images.

The Creatures I've Known: An eFolio
I've added a new "eFolio" to my ever growing list of titles. This one, entitled "The Creatures I've Known", features animal portraits that I've taken over the years. My eFolios are free to download, are in .pdf format, and are optimized for your tablet's bookshelf (e.g., iPad). You can download this and my other titles here:

8th Line Waterfall
I've never been a fan of the long exposure, misty water thing, but I was at a waterfall yesterday and thought, "What the heck".

Lucky & Me
I made this image of the late Lucky Stepien back in December of 2007. I had originally thought that this was shot in the living room of my Mom's house, but upon looking at a close up of Lucky's eye, I noticed the backyard covered in snow. She must have been sitting by the back door (like she always did) looking for squirrels.

Seagull At Nathan Phillip Square
Until recently, I've kept my iPhone photography on a separate blog, but seeing as how I use my iPhone a lot and have been getting some really cool photographs out of it, I decided that I'll post them on this blog along my more "serious" work. I made this image yesterday in Toronto.

Braving The Rain, Redux
Here's a reworking of an image I made back in November of 2006. The horse in the foreground is "Payday Pleasure", the only gray horse at this particular stable. I miss, Pay. I think she moved.

Playing In The Rain
As we took shelter from the crazy storm that came out of nowhere yesterday in Toronto, a kid decided that this was the perfect time to play.

Poofy Pigeon
This guy hung out with Marina and I for a bit while we chilled at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto.
On a side note, I'll be heading up north for the weekend, so I won't be posting any photos for a few days...except, of course, on Twitter, where I indulge in the photographic adventure that is Instagram. If you're not following me on Twitter yet, do it! Say "hi!".

Praise The Peanut Gods!
I dunno...it just looks like he's about to get down on his knees and worship the being that's been dropping peanuts everywhere.

Linehan, No. 1: What's That?
I got a call from my Mom the other day that a new chipmunk was hanging out in her backyard. I took a camera over yesterday, and made a series of shots that you'll see over the next few posts. His name is "Linehan", because he has a fur line on top of his head.

Sky Fingers
After driving home from London in a crazy storm yesterday, I pulled out my camera and tried to capture some lightning. Whaddaya think?
